Make The Road New York
Make the Road New York (MRNY) is an immigrant and working class advocacy group committed to achieving dignity and justice. They offer legal services to combat discrimination, abuse and poverty; education to develop leadership potential; community organizing to help transform systems; and policy innovation to rewrite unjust rules and make democracy truly accountable to all.
Make the Road operates neighborhood-based community centers in Bushwick, Brooklyn; Jackson Heights, Queens; Port Richmond, Staten Island; Brentwood, Long Island and White Plains, Westchester. With a membership of 22,000+ low-income New Yorkers, MRNY tackles critical issues: workplace justice, tenants’ rights, immigrant civil rights, language-access, LGBTQ justice, public education, health care access, and immigration reform.
