“THANK YOU Hope Lodge…for making my fight against cancer a little bit easier with your hospitality. What a tremendous help and blessing to get to stay with you during my monthly visits to Memorial Sloan Kettering, visiting from my home state of Colorado. I can’t thank you enough!”

The Jerome L. Greene Family Center, Hope Lodge, located at 132 West 32nd Street in NYC with 60 guest rooms and communal spaces, is an oasis for cancer patients. It is their home-away-from-home. The Family Center was opened in November 2007 with a $10 million grant from the Foundation, the largest non-corporate donation in American Cancer Society history. It offers lodging at no cost for cancer patients being treated in Manhattan, as well as for their caregivers, and is open 365 days a year. The ability to stay at Hope Lodge allows patients the chance to receive treatment in the city that otherwise would have been unaffordable. Since its opening, the Jerome L. Greene Family Center, Hope Lodge has provided over 15,400 patients and caregivers with accommodations and support, all completely free of charge. But even more, it provides a supportive community for people when they need it most.
